The
Western Front was the name given to the trenches that were dug between
the coast of Belgium and the Swiss border.
It was here that our Anzac's helped fight the German's in muddy,
cold and horrific conditions. The sound of artillery shells was
a constant companion as one in two Anzac soldiers were a casualty
of the Somme battlefields.
Whilst we read how our countrymen fought with courage and determination
you need to visit these revered landmarks to see the scars of battle
and learn about the conditions our brave soldiers faced.
Our
travel tours of the Western Front give an excellent understanding
of WWI battlefield history. Walking around the many sites of the
Somme and Ypres will leave lasting memories.
We
also have travel packages to suit all individual needs and time
frames. |
