Itinerary: Korean Discovery Tour

Day 1

Seoul

Today is a full day sightseeing tour of Seoul. It includes the War Museum of Korea which gives an educational experience of the many wars in which Korea has been involved, Gyeongbok Palace, National Folklore Museum, Namsan Park, Seoul Tower and Namdaemun Traditional Open Market.

Day 2

Seoul - Unification Observatory(B L)

After breakfast you take a journey to the DMZ, which is the border between North and South Korea. You visit the Unification Observatory where you can view North Korea with high-powered binoculars and also enter the Third Tunnel, which was only discovered in 1978 and was a secret entrance to Seoul for North Korean troops.

Day 3

Seoul - Kapyong(B)

Today you travel to Kapyong and transfer to your hotel. After settling in you visit the War Memorial Monument for the British Commonwealth and Australians.

Day 4

Kapyong - Seorak(B)

Today you will travel to Seorak. This 3.5-hour journey will take you through the Soraksan National Park, which has a large array of plant and animal wildlife.

Day 5

Seorak(B)

Today is a full day of sightseeing and exploration of the Seoraksan National Park. You will take a leisurely hike to visit temples, crystal clear water valleys, wildlife and mountain ranges.

Day 6

Seorak - Andong - Gyeongju(B L)

After breakfast you will leave Mt Seorak and travel to Gyeongju via Andong. In Andong you will take a short sightseeing tour of the Hahoe Village. This village preserves residences of the prestigious families that dominated the Angong area during the Joseon period from 1392-1910. The traditional houses have been maintained in the same families for generations to ensure a continued preservation of this timeless inheritance.

Day 7

Gyeongju(B)

Today is a full day sightseeing of Gyeongju. You will see the Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Gyeongju National Museum, Tumunli Park and Anap-ji pond.

Day 8

Gyeongju - Busan(B)

After breakfast you will travel to Busan and visit the UN Memorial Cemetery. This memorial is in memory of the 22 allied nations that fought in the Korean War from 1950 - 1953. In the afternoon you will take a half-day tour of the Jagalchi fishery market, Yongdusan Park, Taejongdae sea observatory and Haeundae beach. 

Day 9

Busan - Seoul(B)

Today you journey back to Seoul via the fast train. The remainder of the day is free.

Day 10

Seoul(B)

Your tour ends and you are transferred to the airport for you flight home.
