The Kokoda Track was the difficult path that crossed the Owen Stanley Range and was the connection between Port Moresby, Buna and Gona. It was along this track that most of the fighting between Australian and Japanese forces took place.
Papua New Guinea today, is a peaceful place full of its own history and culture. The native people, known as the "fuzzy wuzzy angels" during wartime, again welcome tourists to their picturesque country.
Trekking and non trekking tours are available in Papua New Guinea. Treks are from Kokoda to Owers Corner and can include Popondetta and the beaches of Buna and Gona. Also the Bomana War Cemetery.
Please note that itineraries can be specially designed travel packages for the individual, small or large group, associations and schools to suit both your time frame and budget.
