Day 1 Tuesday 2nd September 2008 Moscow (D)
On your arrival into Moscow you are transferred to your hotel.
Day 2 Wednesday 3rd September Moscow (B L D)
This morning we take a tour around central Moscow including
the GUM department store, Lubyanka Square, Red Square and
Lenin's tomb. After lunch we explore the Kremlin.

3 Thursday 4th September Moscow – Smolensk (B L D)
Drive to Smolensk. It is a long drive but a wonderful opportunity
to see the coutryside, appreciate the scale of Russia and
the campaign. We check in our hotel for two nights. There
will be an opportunity for some free time before dinner.
Day
4 Friday 5th September Smolensk (B L D)
Tour of Smolensk which visits main memorials to city defenders
and battle sights. In the afternoon we explore the battlefield
at Krasnoe. Return to hotel.
Day
5 Saturday 6th September Smolensk – Borodino (B L D)
Drive to the Borodino Battlefield History Museum and Reserve.
Lunch. Full explanatory tour of Borodino battle includes all
of the major locations such as the Bagration fleches, the
Rayevsky Battery, the Shevardino Redoubt and numerous memorials
commemorating this battles, fought on 7 September 1812.

6 Sunday 7th September Borodino (B L D)
Today is given to re-enactment. We will follow the museum
program which we get to know before the festival.
Day
7 Monday 8th September Borodino – Moscow (B L D)
Drive to Moscow. Explore Borodino Panorama and the Arch of
Triumph. Check in our hotel.
Day
8 Tuesday 9th September Moscow (B)
Your tour is complete and you can extend your stay or return
home.
